| March 22, 2015 9:00 PM

A toddler was reportedly playing in the road near a coffee shop in Columbia Falls, prompting a call to the Columbia Falls Police Department to wrangle the tyke. The pint-sized pedestrian was gone by the time officers arrived.

The Whitefish Police Department took a call from a shopkeeper who witnessed a woman allegedly taking dozens of items from her store. The two had history together, so the thief in question was reported by name to the cops.

A Wisconsin Avenue resident called police to report he heard explosions coming from the Columbia Falls area, but did offer the caveat that it might have just been fireworks. He was reminded that fireworks are not illegal in Flathead County.

A resident on Railway Street apparently drew the ire of local street urchins, as six angry children were allegedly throwing rocks at his house and vehicles. He tried yelling at them, but they just yelled back. Officers interviewed the parties.

An intoxicated person was reportedly harassing customers at a fast food drive-through by knocking on windows and asking for the drivers to order food, because the business would not serve someone on foot.

A landlord on East Third Street called the authorities to report a highly intoxicated man was banging on the door of one of his properties at 1 a.m. He believed it was the boyfriend of the resident, but frankly didn’t care who it was as the man had broken a window.
