Charlotte Blum, 79

| March 24, 2015 9:00 PM

Charlotte Blum, 79, passed away on Feb. 14, 2015, in Kalispell.

Charlotte was born on Feb. 15, 1935, in New Jersey to Charles and Mary Walker.

Charlotte resided in Somers, until four years ago when she moved into Prestige Assisted Living. There she had an open door policy and enjoyed when the residents and workers stopped in to chat. Her great joy came from seeing and playing with her three great-grandsons.

Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for her entire life, first in New Jersey, and then in Kalispell for Stewart and Meredith Construction.

Charlotte sang for years with the Sweet Adelines in Kalispell and served as a past president. She also volunteered with hospice. She loved her ceramics, crocheting, fishing and card games. In her younger years, she and her husband Neil loved to go out dancing.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Bruce, and Robin, Wheeler, of Long Grove, Illinois; daughter, Sue Wilson, of Kalispell; a sister, Miriam Kassner, of Sebastian, Florida; grandchildren, Christina Mauroni, Andy and Rachel Wilson, Melanie and Adam Fritsch, Bryan Wheeler and Kevin Wheeler; and great-grandsons, Gavin and Mitchell Wilson, and Connor Fritsch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Blum; father, Charles Walker; mother, Mary Walker; and two brothers, John and William Walker.

There will be a celebration of Charlotte’s life held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, with burial in New Jersey.
