Valerie Gean Paterson, 55

Valerie Gean Paterson, 55, passed away in Kalispell on Sunday, March 22, 2015. 

Valerie was born Aug. 28, 1959, in Omak, Washington, to Stanley and Winona (Kuhn) Smith. 

Valerie worked at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in the hospital admissions for many years. 

She loved spending time with her family and friends. Val was a true outdoors woman. She loved the beach, nature, hiking in the mountains and wildlife. 

She is survived by her parents, Stanley and Winona Smith, of Oakville, Washington; sons, William Paterson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Eugene Paterson of Kalispell; two sisters; one brother; and two treasured grandsons, Tee and Jack.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Woodland Park in Kalispell.
