“God quietly took” Dawn Chenoweth Gemmete of Kalispell on March 18, 2015. She was 46 years old.

Dawn was born March 27, 1968, in Magrath, Alberta, to Carol Irvin and Skip (Floyd) Chenoweth. Dawn was blessed with two additional parents, Dick Irvin and Kay Chenoweth.

The world suffered a great loss with the recent passing of Dawn. While sudden and shocking, Dawn had been battling various illnesses for most of her young life with unbelievable courage and a tenacity that humbles us all.

Dawn was the kindest, most loving soul one could ever have the privilege of knowing. She had a love for all people and creatures that was unmatched, from family and friends to strangers, from dogs and cats to all living creatures; she opened her heart to us all. Illnesses kept her from living her life fully, but during the times when she was feeling a little better she had a smile and laugh that were her trademarks. She quite literally lit up the room.

She is survived by her mother, Carol, and Dick; father, Floyd, and Kay; sister, Dionetta, and Lance; uncle, Ken, and Nicole; and stepsiblings, Mike, Connie, Loni, Judy, Lynda and Kendra. Her pets were her children, Zeke, Ruby, Dot, Zen and Zoe. Friends are too numerous to mention but a special thanks to Steven Rubin, a very close friend, and Nikki Nash, a dear friend and housemate during her final years who put Dawn’s needs before her own.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, Attn: Judy, P.O. Box 221, Kalispell, MT 59903.
