Ray M. 'Eric' Creekmore, 77

Soldotna, Alaska, resident, Mr. Ray M. “Eric” Creekmore, 77, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. 

No services will be planned at this time. 

Mr. Creekmore was born May 3, 1937, in Pine Knot, Kentucky. He made it through his freshman year in high school, then no longer attended after that. Sooner after, he joined the Air Force where he served and was honorably discharged after service. He moved to Alaska on Oct. 1, 2014, to be closer to his son who lives in Kenai. 

The family wrote, “He was a God fearing man that was: a loving father, a lifelong friend and a resolute patriot to the very end.”

He was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Blanton; and father, Merrill F. Creekmore. 

He is survived by his sons, Brett Eric Creekmore of Kenai, Alaska, and Shane Lucas Creekmore of West Jordan, Utah; grandsons, Jeremy Lee McKnight of Raeford, North Carolina, and Joshua McKnight of Raeford, North Carolina. 

Arrangements have been made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel & Crematory in Kenai.
