More than a hangover to worry about

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a man reporting his wallet had been taken out of his pocket while walking home the night before. He said he was drunk and had no idea who could have taken the wallet but was definitely in trouble because his wife’s debit card was inside.

A man was riding his bike through Whitefish when he noticed a used syringe on the ground on East First Street. He reported the health hazard and wanted police to do something because the corner was very near the middle school.

A taxi driver called the police after a very aggressive customer allegedly sucked on her neck as she was dropping him off at his motel. She elbowed the man in the face and kicked him out but did not pursue the man.


The Columbia Falls Police Department took a call from a concerned citizen who thought a swinging tree branch might come off and hurt somebody or damage a car. He was told it’s the property owner’s issue.

A Third Avenue West man called the police to report that someone placed an explosive device in his mailbox at around midnight and the box was blown to smithereens. He had no idea who might have blown it up.

A woman called authorities to report her laptop was acting funny. She said a company had worked on her computer and now suspected they were hacking it.

A 13th Street West man phoned the police to report that his calls to the Secret Service and the President had gone unreturned. He said it was in regard to a national security issue and apparently President Obama was too busy to check his messages. The caller requested an undercover cop come to his door and then asked for permission to investigate the theft of dynamite in Flathead County from a few years ago. He was granted permission.


The Polson Police Department arrested a driver for criminal contempt on 11th Avenue West.
