Glacier's Blalack nets 2nd at Helena Invitational
HELENA — Glacier High School’s Hunter Blalack finished second in No. 1 singles play at the Helena Invitational tennis tournament on Saturday.
Colin Bahin of Missoula Big Sky defeated Blalack in the championship match 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
Blalack advanced to the final with a 7-6, 6-3 (10-8) win over Layne Ryerson of Helena High in the semifinals.
Glacier’s Maya Buckingham and McKenna Johnson finished third at No. 3 doubles. They won their consolation final 6-3, 7-5.
Flathead’s Ellie Berreth finished fourth in No. 2 singles. She lost to Katie Hooton of Billings Skyview 6-4, 6-3 in the consolation final.
