Neighbor's nails fuel long feud

Next-door residents on Caroline Road have had an ongoing spat since the late 1980s, according to a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office report. The latest escalation involved throwing nails on the neighbor’s driveway.

Some signs had been ripped off of a Lore Lake Road residence.

A resident of Patrick Creek Road reported problems with neighbors coming onto the property and cutting down trees.

A car was stolen from Conestoga Court. The owner said it was unlocked with the keys inside.

Three cows made a surprise visit to an Alpine Drive resident, who called the Sheriff’s Office about the strange sighting.

Officers asked some people to move on after they were caught sleeping in a car on someone’s Haskill Basin Road property.

The Sheriff’s Office fielded a resident’s questions about using pepper spray in a bar.

A man reportedly stashed a suitcase containing needles and tools behind a U.S. 2 business near Kalispell. Employees told a deputy that the man left and then came back later to retrieve the bag.

Someone witnessed a sports car try to “run a semi-tanker off the road.”

The Kalispell Police Department assisted at the scene of a three-vehicle crash on Third Street West. There was moderate damage to the vehicles and they had to be towed.

The Polson Police Department made an arrest for criminal contempt following a traffic stop on Main Street.

The Columbia Falls Police Department took a call about a hit-and-run on Ninth Street West.

A First Avenue West resident was working on her fence. She took her eye off of her cordless drill for just a minute and it went missing.

While walking her dog, a woman was harassed by a man on Ninth Avenue West. He reportedly told her to “get the hell out of here.”

There was a report of suspicious people on the roof of a Ninth Street West business. Investigation revealed that they were workers with a cleaning company.

A high school student was purportedly drunk and the father was out of town on business. Meanwhile, the mother was having a baby.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report that somebody tried to break into an ATM along U.S. 93.

That fishing trip will have to wait for a U.S. 93 resident whose tackle box was stolen. It was taken from a vehicle, which was not locked.
