Big Sky sweeps Bravettes in state play-in series

MISSOULA — Missoula Big Sky defeated Flathead 6-1 and 4-2 to sweep a best of three state tournament play-in softball series on Thursday afternoon.

The Western AA matchup pitted second seed Big Sky against seventh seed Flathead.

Big Sky (19-4) advances to state tournament play in Missoula May 20-22.

Flathead (2-19) was held to two hits in the first game and five in the second.
