Local fighters set for Kalispell Kombat
The Kalispell Kombat mixed martial arts fights are back tonight for another gala event at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The smaller, more formal atmosphere was so popular the first time around in October, the fights have already sold out ahead of the opening bout at 7:30 p.m.
There are 13 fights scheduled on the card, highlighted by 13 Kalispell fighters.
Taylor Reed, who won the 2014 AAU national taekwondo championship out of Big Sky Martial Arts, is fighting for the first time in Kalispell against Williston’s Cody Jerome.
Straight Blast Gym has three fighters in the mix, led by Kalispell coach Gus Nolte fighting a 190-pound match against Great Falls’ Blake Green.
Former Flathead wrestlers Duran Flaget, Joaquin Calderon and Michael Kuehne headline the final three fights of the night.
There is one female fight on the card, Kalispell’s Karli Volkman taking on Missoula’s Kate Sholy.
