Softball: Loggers beat Wildkats on walk-off grand slam by Gallagher

LIBBY — A walk-off, grand-slam home run by Devon Gallagher in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Libby a 5-1 Northwestern A softball victory over Columbia Falls on Thursday.

Abbey Ennenga, 3 for 4, singled in the tying run earlier in the inning.

Gallagher, 2 for 3, also doubled.

All of the scoring by both teams was done in the final two innings.

Ashley Trueblood had two of Columbia Falls’ four hits.

Columbia Falls plays at Frenchtown today.

POLSON — Polson slapped 22 hits to score 35 runs in a Northwestern A victory over Whitefish.

Jaiden Toth went 6 for 7 at the plate with three doubles and three RBIs.

Haley Fyant and Hannah Fryberger each hit grand slams to pace Polson.

Sarah Rausch led the Lady Pirates with six RBIs.

Skyla Krantz went 1 for 3 with five RBIs.

Michaela McDowell went 2 for 3 for the Bulldogs. She hit a double and had the lone RBI.
