The Kalispell Lakers A American Legion baseball team picked up two more wins during the Canadian Days Tournament at Griffin Field and Archie Roe Field on Saturday.

The Lakers posted a 19-0 shellacking of the Sherwood Park A’s in the morning contest before posting an 11-6 victory over the Edmonton Cardinals in the afternoon.

In the Day 2 opener of the three-day tournament, Lakers pitcher Brooks Krause tossed five innings of one-hit ball while getting plenty of run support to earn the shutout.

Kalispell scored 10 runs in he third inning to all but seal the contest.

Catcher Hayden Schlepp went 3 for 5 with an RBI, Jackson Pepe hit a triple, and Jonas Nyamn went 2 for 4 with a game-high five RBIs.

The Lakers put up four runs in each of the first two innings against the Cardinals to secure the win.

Nyman picked up his fifth hit of the day on a 3 for 4 effort in Game 2.

The Lakers will play in the Canadian Days title game against the Ferris Saxons today at 1 p.m. at Griffin Field.
