Would-be Picasso prompts protest

The Whitefish Police Department took a series of strange calls after a woman was hired to paint the window of a jewelry shop on Spokane Avenue. An employee at the bakery across the street had taken a restraining order out against the would-be Picasso and called to say she was too close to the business. Dispatch said she had permission to be there as long as things were kept civil.

Two parents were having a disagreement over their shared parenting plan for their 6-year-old. The two were told the proper channels to fix any sort of issues.

A pickup owner had several fishing rods and a tackle box stolen out of his vehicle on Kalispell Avenue.

The Columbia Falls Police Department took a call from a woman on Nucleus Avenue about a man who had indecently exposed himself a year earlier. She wanted some information, but the police department couldn’t release it.

A Diane Road resident phoned police after witnessing two juveniles beating each other up. Officers responded and found two friends who were horsing around.

A Fourth Avenue West woman called police to report her brother might have stolen a .22 caliber pistol. She didn’t want to file charges but did want to make sure he was OK. Dispatch said she was likely intoxicated and had been many times in dealing with them in the past. 

The West Valley Fire Department took a call about a structure fire in Kalispell at 7:47 p.m. on Wintercrest Drive.
