Mariana (Kologi) Turner, 70

| November 2, 2015 6:41 PM

Mariana (Kologi) Turner passed away at the age of 70, on Oct. 29, 2015, in her home from natural causes.

She was born in Great Falls to Peter and Nina (Curley) Kologi on Feb. 7, 1945. She spent her early years in Simms, Montana, and married Ivan Turner on Aug. 28, 1961, in Dubois, Idaho.

Mariana lived in Bozeman, Conrad and then Bigfork where she spent 48 years. She worked at Electric Avenue Books and Electric Avenue Gifts in Bigfork. Mariana enjoyed reading, travel and possessed a natural curiosity for everything in life. She was a homemaker and active community member.

Mariana cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ivan, of Bigfork; daughter, Shannon and Gregg Barrett of Bigfork, and their children, Hannah and Cooper; sons, Rick and Kathy Turner of Great Falls and their children, Bryson and Amanda; Rob and Tammy Turner of Great Falls and their children, Evan and Fletcher; and Mike and Shannon Turner of Portland and their children, Noah and Inga; and her brother, Stephen, and Connie Kologi, of Helena.

Mariana was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Alexis Turner.

Mariana had a positive influence on everyone she met, and was deeply loved by many. We are comforted knowing she is finally getting all her questions answered.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be sent to the Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre in Mariana’s name at P.O. Box 456, Bigfork, MT 59911.
