LETTER: Candidate offers congratulations to winner

On Tuesday evening I endured a rather spectacular shellacking at the polls and concede to the victor of the Ward 3 contest in Kalispell, incumbent councilor Kuntz, and offer him congratulations on securing a four-year term!

Though a higher turnout to vote would have been nice, I do not believe that would have altered the outcome of this contest. The plurality of residents stands behind Rod and I wish him well in his upcoming years of service — in helping to guide Kalispell through a definitive stage of growth made possible by a dream for core redevelopment about to reach fruition.

I will not be bowing altogether out of local politics, however, still aspiring to fill a role in the building of a better world! For residents who were so kind as to lend to me their support I am most pleased to have advanced your interests and offer you my most heartfelt of thanks. —Christopher Cunningham, Kalispell
