Charlene Johnson Herron, 71

Charlene Johnson Herron died Nov. 10, 2015, of lung cancer.

A native Montanan born Dec. 16, 1943, in Havre, to William and Charlotte Johnson, she grew up on the Hi-Line in Chester, moved to Kalispell in 1958 and graduated from Flathead High School in 1961. She was married to Dennis William Herron in 1962 until his death in 1978.

Charlene was employed for 32 years as the career counselor for TRIO and Flathead Valley Community College and was a longtime choreographer and member of the local Sweet Adelines.

After Dennis’s death, Charlene was briefly married and divorced from Reginald Thomas DuMontier and Thomas Wayne Emens.

Charlene is survived by two daughters, Christeve Marie Herron and Colby Marie Herron Wood; grandchildren, Charden Marie Wood and Jaben Herron Wood; and her brother, William C. Johnson, of Quincy, Ill.

At the request of Charlene, no services will be held.
