AA volleyball: All-state honors for Lopp, Bennett
Xio Lopp of Flathead and Hailee Bennett of Glacier have been selected to the Class AA all-state second team for volleyball in balloting by coaches.
Lopp, a senior setter, helped the Bravettes advance to the state tournament.
Bennett is a senior libero.
“She’s very competitive,” Flathead coach Courtney Baker said of Lopp.
“She played all the way around, was a team captain. She improved throughout the season. She was the strongest player on our team.”
Both players were first team All-Western Conference selections.
“Hailee had a great season,” Glacier coach Christy Harkins said.
“She’s such a competive individual. She brings a lot to the team. She was one of our captains.”
Named to the second all-conference Western team were Tiana Johnson of Flathead, a junior middle blocker, and Nikki Krueger of Glacier, a junior middle blocker.
