Ruby Lea (Dilbeck) Lingle-Moorehead, 91
Ruby Lea (Dilbeck) Lingle-Moorehead, 91, “went to live with her Lord” on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015.
She was born Nov. 13, 1924, in Frazer, Montana, to Clystia Brooks Thoma and Marvin A. Dilbeck. She spent her early years growing up in Frazer. She graduated eighth grade from Frazer school in 1938, and 30 years later obtained her GED and went on to attend college.
On Nov. 13, 1940, she married her life companion, Melvin Lingle. They were married 60 years before his passing in 2001. They had three children. They traveled some in the early years, but settled in Wolf Point in 1951 and resided there until 1986 when they retired to Columbia Falls.
Ruby always had a smile. She loved life and people. Nothing made her happier than opening her doors to everyone and making sure that no one left without a full belly. She was an accomplished seamstress, cook, quilter and gardener.
She worked for many years as a rural mail carrier and assistant post mistress. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Columbia Falls, the Eagles Auxiliary of Kalispell, and the Senior Citizens of Columbia Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clystia Thoma and Marvin Dilbeck; her husband, Melvin Lingle; sisters, Bertha Dilbeck and Marian Sprague; brother, Melvin Dilbeck; and daughter Sheila Lingle.
She is survived by her daughter, Bea, and Ron Montgomery of Las Vegas; son, David, and Michelle Lingle, of Columbia Falls; grandsons, Bruce and Siri Heinrichs of East Windsor, New Jersey, Brian and Debbie Heinrichs of Rifle, Colorado, Tyler and Antoinette Montgomery of Ashburn, Virginia, and Casey and Dawn Montgomery of Parker, Colorado; sisters, Ina and Harry Downs of Wolf Point, and Connie Hansen of Kent, Washington; and brother, Marvin, and Ellie Dilbeck, of Grand Junction, Colorado; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
