'Tis the season for snow plows
Someone from the road department contacted Columbia Falls Police to request help contacting the owner of a vehicle parked where the snow plow needed to push the snow on Meadow Lake Boulevard.
A Crescent Drive resident called to report a barking dog. The caller said the “big dog” had been howling since 7 a.m. and was waking people up.
A caller reported numerous suspicious people running through yards on Nucleus Avenue.
A concerned caller reported a woman yelling for help on Sixth Street West. Responding officers found the disoriented woman, and reported she had fallen and hit her head. Medical assistance was brought in.
Two dogs running in traffic on East 13th Street were picked up and brought to the Whitefish Police Department. A message was left with the dogs’ owner.
A man called to report that his vehicle had “died” in the parking lot of a Spokane Avenue business. He planned to leave it overnight until he could arrange for repairs, and wanted to let police know what was going on to avoid being towed.
Officers responded to a verbal fight between a man and woman on Somers Avenue. No weapons were involved, but alcohol may have been. Officers separated the quarreling pair.
The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Willow Glen Drive.
