Crosstown soccer tonight at Legends Stadium
Crosstown soccer is on the big stage today when Glacier hosts Flathead at Legends Stadium for the second meeting of the Kalispell schools this season.
The boys teams ended locked up in a 2-2 tie after the first contest on Sept. 3, in a highly-contentious game that saw 32 fouls and seven yellow cards.
Glacier’s Colton Becker and Tyler Combs bookended the scoring with Flathead’s Joey Russell and Kaleb Frame adding tallies.
Each team will look to take advantage of the season series in the nightcap at 7 p.m. today.
Glacier is 11-4-2 all-time against the Braves, although Flathead is 2-1-2 in the last five meetings.
The girls teams will start play at 5 p.m.
Flathead won the first meeting between the girls squads, holding Glacier scoreless after the opening minutes in a 2-1 victory.
Clara Vandenbosch and Jaymee Siler scored first half goals to lift the Bravettes to the win after an early goal from Glacier’s Cadie Williams.
Flathead is 10-3-4 all-time against the Wolfpack.
