LETTER: Fight for real border security
Regarding Sen. Tester’s most recent report of a listening tour in Northwestern Montana, in which he stressed northern border security for Montanans:
If the security of Montana against invasion — from Canadians and people using Canada — is so important to the senator, then I think he and his fellow Democrats in Congress would be triply concerned about the security of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and all the other southern states which Obama has done little to nothing to defend, instead sending forth his swarm of officers, led by Eric Holder and others, to sue the governor of Arizona and others for having the audacity to defend the states they swore to protect from invasion. Article 4 Section 4, of the U.S. Constitution requires “the United States” to do so, and Article 1, Section 10, clause 3 permits the states to do it themselves [“make war”] when invasion is imminent AND the U.S. fails or cannot do anything to help.
You people in Congress have done a shamefully POOR job of preventing the United States from being invaded since YOUR man — Obama — and his dogs took over in January 2009 to — as they themselves called it — “rule.”
Sen. Tester, you can cite all your “listening sessions” and tell me all about your “concerns,” but are you really listening to us, the people of the United States, when it comes to NATIONAL and individual state defense against invaders?
I think not.
Please do more than talk like you would were you running for re-election. If it costs you re-election to do what those of us want you and Congress to conserve of this now once-great nation, then do it. You will be a better person for having done your duty than if all you do is brag about running hither and yon “listening” to people while Obama plays a fiddle in D.C. and the Democratic National Committee chips away at honor and integrity — the latter of which is supposed to be what “sovereignty” means. —Jim Greaves, Thompson Falls
