Dude, where's my porch?

A woman asked for assistance from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office because her brother’s porch was stolen from his residence on Shaughnessy Hill. Officers were dispatched for a report.

A stoplight was hit by an oversize load at the intersection of US. 2 and Indianhead Road. The light fell from its mount and ended up in the roadway before a deputy removed it.

A person ended up in the emergency room after they were assaulted at a Libby football game.

Parents called for backup after they found that their 12-year-old son had consumed beer.

A deputy told a person following a bear in a vehicle on East Tenth Street to stop bothering wildlife.

A member of the Libby Volunteer Fire Department paged for a response to a fire that was near a propane tank. The woman who reported the fire on Park Street said that a man started the fire after he took her phone and assaulted her. Deputies were unable to locate the man.

A 2-year-old boy was not seriously injured after an 8-year-old boy tried to start an all-terrain vehicle and caused the four-wheeler to roll over the younger child’s foot.

An attempted packrat shooting went awry on Big Bend Road and ended with the shooter hitting himself in the foot with a .22 bullet instead of the animal. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.


Columbia Falls Police counseled a person who wanted to know what their rights would be if they claimed an abandoned pet rat.

A man turned in some ammunition that he found to officials at the police station.

Officers told a woman that she was not allowed on a property after she and a male were reported as breaking into a storage unit. The duo used to live on the property, but had been trespassed.

A woman on East Third Street became confrontational after officers told her that she would be cited for a having a dog at large if ongoing problems with her pets persisted.


A person flagged down a Whitefish Police officer passing by the outside of a grocery store where management tried to detain an accused shoplifter and ended up being hit by the suspect. The officer took statements from the involved parties.

A woman asked officers what she should do about a person who entered her home on East Third Street a day before. The woman said the person came in, started talking religion, and asked the homeowner to leave. The woman was told to call officers immediately if the person returned.


Kalispell Police responded, but a property owner did not want to pursue criminal endangerment charges after a neighbor’s stray arrow flew through into a fence and into a pool on Stratford Drive.

A man on Crestline Drive found that his office had been burglarized. A computer, four guns, and a 1990 Jaguar were stolen.

The drive into the post office one Meridian Road was blocked after a person reported that they hit the ‘do not enter’ sign with a car.
