Cops shut down party

Kalispell Police Department investigated a call about minors being in possession of alcohol at a party on First Avenue East. A woman reported that the adult in the home had not been seen in a while and her grandson was likely having a party because 20 kids had gone in and out of the basement windows. Police took more than seven underage individuals into custody and released them to parents. 

A Jeep left overnight in a high school parking lot had its window smashed out.


Whitefish Police took the keys from a man who was found parked on Central Avenue after someone reported the man was driving a truck on Wisconsin Avenue while drunk. The man allegedly told a coffee stand worker in slurred language that he was hammered. The worker also saw the man stumble as he walked. The man was taken to the police station by officers.

A man reported that his ex-girlfriend’s meth dealer kept driving by his house for unknown reasons.

Someone complained about a man sleeping on the sidewalk on Baker Avenue because it made people uncomfortable to walk past him.

A woman on Iowa Avenue was told to contact the hospital for help after she could not locate her thyroid medication. She believed her ex-boyfriend might have taken the drugs.

A hooded male was reported as bleeding on East First Street after a fight. Officers were only able to locate the person believed to have started the fight once they arrived.


A man told Columbia Falls Police officers that a pair of sunglasses and a cell phone were stolen from his locked vehicle that was parked on Ninth Street West. The man did not want to pursue charges. He believed that his wife may have been the culprit because the two are in the process of divorcing.

A man on Riverwood Drive followed the driver of a pickup truck from his residence to a restaurant after he found the truck shining headlights into his house. The man confronted the driver, who would not give a straight answer about why he was on the man’s property. Officers looked in to the incident. No arrest was made.
