Velma Faye Irvin, 52
Velma Faye Irvin, 52, passed away on Oct. 14, 2015, at her home in Columbia Falls.
Velma was born on Dec. 13, 1962, in Olathe, Kansas, to Grant and Mary (Busby) Elliott. She attended Devry Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, for accounting.
She worked for years at a market research firm and as a tax accountant for Levitt Tax Service in Kansas. In Montana she worked as a baker and most recently at Kalispell Copy Center.
She enjoyed picking huckleberries, calligraphy, collecting boxes, and rocks. Velma married her husband Dane Irvin on Aug. 3, 2008, in Columbia Falls. They were married for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Grant Elliott, and grandson, Charlie Heuer.
She is survived by her husband, Dane Irvin; daughter, Elissa Owens of Columbia Falls; sons, Creighton Heuer of Independence, Missouri, and Trevor Heuer of Olathe, Kansas; sister, Scheyvonne Elliott of Columbia Falls; two brothers, Virgil Elliott and Lesile Elliott, both of Olathe; grandchildren, Hannah Owens of Columbia Falls, Damien Heuer of Olathe, and Anneliese Heuer of Independence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
