Woman accuses man of stalking, threats

Kalispell Police Department took a report from a woman on North Meridan Road who said that a man had called her 860 times the prior evening and 300 times the next day. The woman claimed she had received hundreds of emails where the man had threatened to kill her and her daughter.

Items were found to be missing after a shopkeeper on First Avenue West North reported a suspicious man who came in his store with a knit ski cap with a Halloween wig beneath it.

A yellow kayak was stolen from Hawthorn Avenue.

Firefighters rushed to a business on Heritage Way after a lighting fixture was reported as sparking and smoking. Fire officials found no smoke or flames upon arrival.

Two people called police after they saw a man on East Idaho Street walk up to another vehicle, pull out a knife and slash the tire of an occupied truck.

Officers could not locate five junior high school students who were seen taking off their pants on a school playground. The school’s office manager witnessed the disorderly conduct.

A chainsaw was stolen from a truck on North Main Street and the owner chased down the alleged underage thief. When an officer investigated the accused thief was cited for possession of dangerous drugs.

A person on Ninth Avenue West thought she might have a case of sweet revenge on her hands after she awoke to sugar or salt in her gas tank, one day after she was assaulted by someone.

A worker at a methadone clinic on Sunset Boulevard refused to give dispatchers a patient’s name after the patient left in a state that the worker felt was unsafe for driving. The worker said that the clinic did not want to press charges, but they did want to woman checked on because she kept coming in and out of the clinic and screaming at staff.

A poultry owner assured an officer that reported rooster crowing on First Avenue East would be short-lived as the person planned to slaughter the animals later in the week. The officer planned to follow up to make sure the resident was in compliance with the city’s no-rooster ordinance.

A woman reported that she had received several harassing messages from another woman who threatened to kill her.


A military Humvee was found and returned to its owner in Somers by Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies after the owner reported that the vehicle had been stolen in the night.

A man was told he had 48 hours to move his truck full of wood from a business located on U.S. 93 near Kalispell or face trespassing charges. The business owner felt the man had taken advantage of an agreement that let the man sell wood from the location for two months. The man said he felt like he had established residency and needed to be formally evicted.

A deputy counseled a couple in Hungry Horse after a woman reported that her husband grabbed her as she tried to leave and go get cigarettes. The woman said she was not in fear for her life. She was advised to walk around, let the man cool down, and call if she felt threatened when she returned.

A man at a residence off of Montana 35 near Kalispell called to report that he was worried that his former girlfriend had called the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms on him. He said he was upset because the woman had left four or five shards of methamphetamine at this home. Upon arrival the man was told that local law enforcement was not looking for him. The man told the deputy that he had disposed of the meth a while ago.

A woman was told to move along by a deputy after she allegedly popped up from an awning and verbally threatened to kill someone who was delivering a newspaper.


Whitefish Police responded after a business owner of a market on Baker Avenue reported that her front window had been smashed in.

A .45 pistol and a checkbook were stolen from a truck parked on Woodland Place.

A woman who had been hiking in Glacier National Park over the weekend with her daughter returned and found that someone had made off with her purse. Unauthorized charges had been made at several Whitefish businesses.


Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a collared goat that had been running amok on Mountain Meadow Road for several days.

A man in camouflage who was driving a motor home allegedly drove up to a gas station in Marion, filled the tank with $200 of fuel and drove off without paying.
