Boys soccer: Stillwater advances to state championship match

Hansen Eystad scored two goals and BJ Bach and Caleb Reeves both had one in helping Stillwater Christian School defeat Foothill Christian School 4-1 on Friday in semifinal action of the Montana Christian Athletic Association state boys soccer tournament at Stillwater.

Stillwater (11-6 overall) did all of its scoring in the first half.

The Cougars move on to today’s championship match at noon versus Heritage Christian School. Heritage defeated Stillwater 3-1 in an earlier season matchup.

“I’m expecting it to be a very intense and exciting game,” Stillwater coach Ryan O’Rourke said.

“This will be a tough one. They are a very solid team.”

Heritage defeated Great Falls Homeschool in Friday’s other semifinal match.
