LETTER: Thanks to court for statue ruling

Hooray for the 9th Circuit panel’s decision to retain the Big Mountain Jesus. On Monday, it upheld Judge Christensen’s dismissal of the “Freedom From Religion” lawsuit demanding the statue be removed.

If this Wisconsin-based group really wants to understand freedom from religion, I suggest they study post-revolution Russia to see how bloody Soviet state atheism would work for them. —Carmine Mowbray, Polson
