Baseball: Smith, Wetsch, Winslow named to American Legion All-State

Vinny Smith and AJ Wetsch of the Glacier Twins, along with Libby’s Jared Winslow, were named to the American Legion baseball Class A All-State team, while six other players from the Northwest earned All-Conference honors, it was announced Saturday.

Smith and Wetsch guided the Twins to a second place finish at the district tournament in Polson this summer, and each also landed on the Western A All-Conference team alongside teammate Jayce Fagerland. Winslow was also All-Conference.

CJ Henrie (Kootenai Valley), Spencer Pisk (Kalispell), Oliver Grupenhoff (Libby), Bransen Krebs (Mission Valley) and Derek Peel (Mission Valley) joined the three Twins as All-Conference selections.
