He hit Brady Staves on a 10-yard TD strike and Jed Nagler on a 52-yard pass for another score.

The Whitefish defense held Corvallis (0-4) to 30 yards passing and 90 yards rushing.

““We were focused,” Whitefish coach Chad Ross said.

“They beat us last year and we came out and wanted to make sure we didn’t get caught up in the extra commotion. We came out in the no-huddle and scored on our first drive and that established the momentum. The kids did pretty well, stayed focused and did their jobs. I’m very proud of them collectively.”
