Soccer roundup: Polson tops Libby boys, girls
LIBBY — Connor Lanier punched in a goal at 78 minutes to break a 1-all tie and give Polson a 2-1 Northern A boys soccer victory on Saturday over Libby.
Lanier started the scoring with a goal in the 33rd minute.
Libby’s Cody Wood tied the match with a goal at 50 minutes.
Polson had 13 shots on goal to two for Libby.
Both teams had five corner kicks.

HELENA — A goal by BJ Bach in the 57th minute helped Stillwater Christian get back in the match, but Heritage Christian scored in the 81st minute to put it away in a Montana Christian Athletic Association matchup.
Stillwater (6-4) trailed at the half 1-0.
“It was a very good game,” Stillwater coach Ryan O’Rourke said.
“We match up well with them.”
Heritage held a slight edge in shots on goal, 7-5. Corner kicks favored Stillwater, 8-3.
“We just came up a little short today,” O’Rourke said.
“The goals were there. The guys worked hard overall.”
