Volleyball roundup: Eureka battles back to tip Libby

EUREKA — Eureka bounced back from an extra points first-set loss to beat Lincoln County rival Libby in four sets 26-28, 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 in a District 7B conference volleyball match on Saturday.

Kassi Peterson had 11 kills and four aces for the Lions in the victory.

Mehki Sykes had five kills, five blocks and four aces to lead Libby.

HAMILTON — Polson won its first set but couldn’t break through in the next three to fall to Hamilton in a nonconference match 20-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-14.

Chadelle Smith had 10 kills and Marlee Congdon 23 digs for Polson in the loss.

Shannon Casele led Hamilton with a match-high 21 kills.

Miranda Campbell had 15 kills and four blocks and Sami Varner had 16 digs and three aces for Bigfork.

Shey Hannum led the Blue Hawks with 15 kills, four blocks and six aces.
