LETTER: Double standard?

| August 2, 2016 10:15 AM

Response to Susan Cahill letter of June 9 titled “Christian values and a ‘misleading’ letter.”

Toward the end of her letter, Ms. Cahill suggested that Pastor Lusko completely ignored the common human honesty and decency that most of us grow up believing are part of good Christian values, while referring to Proverb 12:22: “The Lord detests lying but delights in people who are trustworthy.”

This coming from a woman who for a business performs abortions.  Ms. Cahill should look a little deeper into the Bible, such as Exodus 20:13, Matthew 5:21 and Romans 13:9, just to mention a few that read “Thou shalt not kill.” Also, the Lord puts lying and murdering on equal footing; see Proverbs 6:17. “The Lord hates a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood.”

Ms. Cahill can stop the heart of an innocent baby and then have the nerve to complain about a business dealing between a pastor and his clients. Give me a break! Wonder what the baby would think about the trustworthiness of a woman who acts like a doctor, but doesn’t abide by the oath to “first do no harm.”

I do not know all that was communicated between Pastor Lusko and the tenants, but I do know that abortion stops a beating heart and another heart breaks.
