Carol Leona Toney, 55

| August 3, 2016 6:00 AM

Carol Leona Toney passed away on July 26, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the Lake View Care Center in Bigfork after a six-month battle with cancer.

Carol was born and raised in the Sacramento, California, area and moved to Missoula when she was in her last year of high school, where she attended Sentinel High and met her best friend Sharon.

Carol worked as a cosmetologist, bar manager and bartender in her 20 years living in Bigfork. She enjoyed camping, fishing and rafting trips with her family. She raised three sons, Ross Derosier, Donny Tudahl and Jacob Tudahl, from the time she was 18. She is survived by each of them and a grandson, Nathan Derosier.

Her father, grandmother, and grandfather preceded her in death.

Carol always said her favorite job, the one that she did best, was being a mom. Having spent her entire adult life being a mom, Carol picked up many other “children” along the way. She always had a full heart to share and a place someone less fortunate could call home. Carol was a truly amazing and strong-willed woman. She will be missed, but her memory and love will live on through the tremendous number people she has touched in her life.

Join us at 2 p.m. on Aug.14 at Clementine’s in Bigfork. The venue address is 265 Bridge Street, Bigfork, Montana 59911. We look forward to coming together and celebrating this amazing woman’s life.

“We love you, Mom.”
