Patrick W. Johnstone, 65

Patrick W. Johnstone, 65, of Fort Benton, passed away Sunday morning, July 31, 2016, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Great Falls, the son of Jack and Audrey (Peterson) Johnstone. He received his education in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1969. He began working for the railroad in Great Falls and later moved to Columbia Falls.

On Aug. 26, 1999, he was united in marriage to Georgianna Rowland in Fort Benton, and they made their home in Columbia Falls. After more than 40 years with the railroad, he retired in 2010, and they moved to Fort Benton to be closer to family. They were in the process of moving to Stanford at the time of his death.

Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping and playing horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife, Gigi, of Stanford; daughters Jennifer Johnstone (Ben) of Whitefish, and Dani (Doug) Koenig of Stilwell, Kansas; son, Jason Longsworth of Spokane; his mother, Audrey Johnstone; sisters, Pam Johnstone and Jayme (Mike) Cline, all of Great Falls; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his father and one daughter.

No services will be held for Patrick W. Johnstone, and cremation has taken place at his request.

The Cloyd Funeral Home in Lewistown is assisting the family. Friends are asked to make memorial to the charity of their choice, and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
