Ann Christine Shelt, 81

| August 11, 2016 6:00 AM

Ann Christine Shelt’s vibrant soul left this earth on Aug. 7, 2016, at age 81.

Ann often bragged about the 6-by-6 buck mounted on the wall and told the tale of how she caught him to anyone who would listen. Spending her life as a housewife, mother and grandmother gave her much joy in life. Though her hunting adventures ended much sooner than her wish, she still took much pleasure in her kid “critters,” crocheting, knitting, church and of course her family.

Ann traveled extensively during her husband’s 30 years of military service, learning German as a second language.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Shelt; and parents Garfield “Al” and Irma C. Ruppel.

She is survived by two sons, Nick Shelt (wife Brenda Lee) of Kalispell, and Bruce Shelt (wife Elena) of Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Stacie Erickson (husband Rocky Erickson) of Columbia Falls, and Trina Shelt of St Albans, Vermont; and two great-granddaughters, Bailey Erickson and Oakley Erickson.

She will be missed by her numerous family and friends in Toledo, Ohio, as well as family scattered throughout the United States.

In lieu of flowers and cards, the family requests that donations be sent to Frontier Hospice of Kalispell in her loving memory or other hospice in senders’ local areas.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
