Daniel Raymond Weber, 60

Daniel Raymond Weber, 60, of Columbia Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 7, 2016, in Olney.

Dan was born in Whitefish to James Weber and Julia Weber. He was raised in Olney and lived in the Flathead Valley the majority of his life.

Dan enlisted in the Army at the age of 17. After leaving the Army, he worked in the timber industry; first for American Timber in Olney, then for the last several years for Plum Creek at the medium-density fiberboard plant in Columbia Falls. Dan’s coworkers were also his friends. He was known for his warm smile, kindness and willingness to help everyone.

Dan loved his wife, Terry Lang Weber, his family, friends, all animals and Montana. He had an immense love of the outdoors and spent many hours in the backcountry of Montana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATVs and snowmobiles, all seasons of the year.

Dan and Terry met in 1997 and married in 1998. They both shared a love of animals, and were known for their compassion for rescuing abused, injured and neglected dogs and cats.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, James Weber and Julia Erickson, as well as other family members.

Dan is survived by his wife Terry, three siblings, three children, and grandchildren. Surviving siblings include brothers David Weber of Polson and Jimmy Weber of Idaho; and sister Randi and Tim Dowling. Surviving children and spouses include Shawn Weber of Three Forks, Keyvin and Brittany Weber of Missoula, and Yvette Weber of Spokane.

A celebration of Dan’s life and potluck will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Woodland Park, Main Pavilion, in Kalispell, with military honors at 3 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories of Dan.
