Couple caught 'rolling in the grass'

The Whitefish Police Department responded to a “young couple taking a roll in the grass” on East Second Street. Officers advised the pair to move along.


Someone called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a man outside a Nucleus Avenue business going through a donation bin. Officers discovered the man actually had been going through the garbage and had not stolen anything, but he was told not to return to the property.

A caller told police a group of kids was attempting to get on to the roof of a building on 13th Street West. Officers spoke with two young suspects in the vicinity and informed them that they would be arrested if they were caught trying to get on the roof again.


The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire on Second Avenue West.


The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn pile on North Ashley Lake Road.


The South Kalispell Fire Department responded to reports of an illegal burn on Lenwood Lane.
