Frank Ernest Pancoast, 68

Frank Ernest Pancoast, 68, “went to be with our Lord” on Aug. 11, 2016. 

He was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 17, 1948, to Frank and Hazel Pancoast. He was the oldest of five children. 

Frank proudly served in the United States Navy as a SeaBee from August 1967 until January 1971. 

On March 18, 1972, he married the love of his life, Deborah Gardy. They had four children together.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing were a couple of his very favorite things to do, but his love for God was his passion in life. Never a bashful guy, he shared his love of the Lord with everyone. He was an incredibly generous man, and loved to help anyone in need. 

Everyone knew God was first in Frank’s life, and his family was second. He loved spending time with all of his kids and grandkids. He taught them all to hunt, fish, and to pull the best practical jokes they could. Laughter was easy to come by when Frank was around, even if it was at his own expense. Cheering for his kids and grandkids at their various sports and activities was a big source of pride for him. 

Frank went to college for air conditioning and refrigeration. He was also an auto mechanic, a furniture restorer, and worked in construction. He became a master electrician and opened the doors to his own business, Pancoast Electric, in 1993. Frank’s work ethic and quality of work was second to none. 

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank O. Pancoast. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Deborah. He is also survived by his mother, Hazel Pancoast; his sister, Deborah J. Pancoast; sister, Joan Grimley, and her husband, Bob; brother, John Pancoast, and his wife, Deborah E. Pancoast; sister, Jean Thederahn, and her husband, Neil; daughter, Jeannette Burton, and her husband, Dennis; son, Ron Pancoast, and his wife, Kristy; son, Brian Pancoast, and his wife, Dixie; and daughter, April Stover, and her husband, Tom. Missing their PopPop forever are his grandkids, Trent, Tyler, Megan, Ashlee, Cameron, Ally, Ethan, Stryker, Conner, Trevor and Baxton. 

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Frank’s life at 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Hope Church in Kalispell.

Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
