Lauren Renee (Swallow) Tecca, 26

| August 24, 2016 10:02 AM

Lauren Renee Swallow was born on July 24, 1990, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center to Myron and Terrilyn Swallow. She was a bright and funny child, always making her family laugh. She was artistic and enjoyed drawing, flower arranging and various handwork. Lauren was very entrepreneurial. As a teenager, she sold sunflower bouquets at the Kalispell Farmers Market and later crocheted hats. Lauren loved animals; she started breeding and selling Corgi puppies and eventually setters. She poured over pedigrees, health records and bloodlines until she was satisfied with her choice.

Lauren met Marcus Tecca while working at Super 1 in Whitefish. She and Marcus married on March 8, 2013. Lauren loved to cook and bake and was always trying new recipes with Marcus in mind. He will forever be a son and brother to her family. Marcus and Lauren were blessed with a daughter, Megan. Lauren adored Megan, fondly referring to her as “little bird,” and was planning a special party for her second birthday.

Lauren passed away suddenly on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, after collapsing in her home.

Lauren was completely original, always marching to the beat of her own drum. She loved bright, bold colors and fantastic shoes. Her passing has left an unimaginable hole in her family.

Lauren is survived by her husband Marcus, and daughter Megan; her parents Myron and Terri Swallow of Kalispell; grandparents Herb and Fern Tronson of Great Falls; mother-in-law Lisa Tecca and Grandma Mary Stevens of Sunburst; sister and brother-in-law Alane and Tim Powell and children Allen, Kayla, Shawn, Ethan, Gavin, Savannah, Westin and Quinn of Columbia Falls; sister Lisa Swallow of Kalispell; sister-in-law Tandra Plympton and children Kahleb, Kaege and Khenlie of Kalispell; brother-in-law Brandon and wife Kristina Tecca and children Taegan and Sephiya of Missoula; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents John and Opal Swallow and Steve Stevens.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, at Central Bible Church in Kalispell, with a graveside service at Glacier Memorial Gardens and luncheon to follow at Central Bible Church.

A memorial fund for Lauren Swallow has been established at Whitefish Credit Union and will be used for the benefit of her 2-year old daughter, Megan Tecca. Checks can be made out to “WCU in memory of Lauren Swallow” and delivered either to the credit union or sent directly to the family at 547 Capistrano Dr., Kalispell, MT 59901.
