Noel 'Tony' Eugene O'Connor, 82

Noel “Tony” Eugene O’Connor, 82, beloved husband and friend, “passed into the arms of Jesus” on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016.

Tony was born on Aug. 7, 1934, in St. Louis.

Tony was proud to be a veteran, serving in the United States Air Force from August 1952 to July 1964.

He and Judy Overn James were married on Feb. 18, 1990. They had 26 incredible years together. This union gave him son Scott and wife Sherri James, daughter Jill and husband William Lukens, grandchildren Courtney Lukens, Nate Lukens and family, Cody James and Caitlyn James, sisters-in-law Melodee Haagenson and husband Bruce (deceased), Cheryl Baumgartner and husband Bill, brother-in-law Garry Overn and wife Mickie and family.

He cherished the days his grandchildren were born and the joy in watching them grow.

Tony truly found peace with Jesus when he and Judy moved to Kalispell in March 2013. He loved his church and church family at Kalispell First Church of the Nazarene.

Tony was never at a loss for words, sometimes we were not sure what he would say. He loved people and was very generous with what he had.

He was proud to be Irish. He enjoyed watching Westerns and was an avid reader. Tony will be forever in our hearts; we love and miss him.

His family is truly grateful for the care he received at Kalispell Regional Healthcare the last weeks of his life.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the Kalispell First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ed Koteskey officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the service at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
