Dennis H. Stack, 82

Dennis passed away Nov. 30, 2016, in St. George, Utah, from congestive heart failure, with his wife Karol and daughter Erin by his side. 

Dennis was born May 22, 1934, in Fort Benton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Maybelle “Bury” Stack, and his beloved brothers Tommy and Neil. 

He is survived by his wife, Karol; three children, Dane, Donnell Moses and Erin You (Pang); five grandchildren, Linzi Scarsella, Jared You, MacKenzie and Brendan Moses and Mackenzie Carlson; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Jon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis and Karol, married in 2003 are snowbirds, living in St. George during the fall and winter and Marion during the spring and fall. 

Dennis grew up in Belt and Fairfield. His adult life was spent in numerous cities throughout Washington and Montana due to his career with the Army Corps of Engineers. Dennis formed a partnership and opened Cascade Testing Labs where he used his engineering and business acumen to run a successful company in Washington until he retired in 2002. With his retirement he permanently moved to Marion to enjoy the hunting, golf and family that still resided near.

Dennis’ family will be having services at a future date this summer in both Montana and Washington.
