Eldon 'Roy' Truman, 59

| December 11, 2016 9:00 AM

Eldon “Roy” Truman passed away, surrounded by family and friends, Dec. 5, 2016.

With his infectious grin and loveable personality, his passing has left many people heartbroken.

If a man is measured by being loved, he was a very rich man indeed. He will be missed by so many.

Roy was the only son of Barbara and Duke Truman, born Aug. 22, 1957.

Being the only son with four sisters, he was doted on and spoiled by sisters and parents alike. His childhood was spent in Rexford, running with his beloved cousins. Losing his dad at a young age, he was the son of many.

He worked for Glacier Concrete and ran it after the death of his stepfather.

He married his soul mate, Susan, in 1982. They first settled in Ferndale, where they had their son, Jakeb, and a few years later they moved to Evergreen, where they had their daughter, Katrina.

Roy was the world’s best worker. It was his passion. His many jobs included working for GSI, Nupac, the City of Kalispell and Glacier Precast.

He was the proud grandfather of Willow, Abel and Zaniel Truman.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters and many, many relatives and friends.

With a “heart of gold and a smile as wide as the Rockies,” he will be missed by all.

His service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Evergreen Junior High School gymnasium, 18 W Evergreen Dr. in Kalispell. Reception to follow.
