Drug users in trees leave needles behind

Columbia Falls Police received a report of a syringe left in a tree behind the caller’s building. The caller told dispatch that the syringe was full of some substance, but didn’t know what.

A caller wanted to speak with a Whitefish police detective, but didn’t want to provide any additional information to dispatch.

Someone wanted to know if they could post parking signs on city streets around an event.

A driver reported his or her car had been severely keyed two nights earlier.

Officers spoke with a man who had been reported for hollering racial slurs and threats at nobody in particular in the public library. The man, who was about 35 years old, was allegedly sitting at a computer when he began the commotion, according to the caller. After police spoke with the man, he left the library.

A woman asked police to remove a man from her neighbor’s apartment after he refused to pay rent.

Kalispell Police told people living in a collection of vehicles parked in central Kalispell that they were trespassing on private property.

A Kalispell business owner trapped a cat and called police when he found out animal control was closed for the day. Dispatch told the woman that because there are no cat ordinances, she would be responsible for bringing the cat in to animal control.

A man called police to report he would be late to his urinary analysis test after he lent his car to his mother’s children and she had not yet returned.

Someone reported losing $920 while walking between businesses in the North Kalispell area.

A man in an older vehicle was reportedly seen peeking into mailboxes in the neighborhood at 4:44 a.m. Police found the man was delivering newspapers.
