Pedestrian injured by vehicle

A man was struck and seriously injured by a motor vehicle on East Idaho Street late Monday evening, between the overpass and the Woodland Avenue intersection.

Sgt. David Baggs of the Kalispell Police Department said the man appeared to have run out into traffic before he was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lane.

The driver was from the Kalispell area. Baggs said he did not have any additional information about the victim, who was transported by ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 93 North. One passenger reportedly hit his head and had minor bleeding. The crash caused minor road blockage.

Someone on U.S. 93 South called police concerned, due to the cold weather, that a dog was left in a vehicle for hours.

A vehicle was spotted “spinning brodies” in a parking lot on Whitefish Stage Road.

Someone told officers that a vehicle was parked in a handicapped spot without a visible placard at an apartment complex on Treeline Road and that it was reportedly an ongoing problem. The vehicle was cited for parking in the handicapped spot.

A man driving what appeared to be a black Ford Explorer allegedly drove off without paying for $45.04 worth of gas on East Idaho Street.

Someone on First Avenue West North spotted flames on a roof and wasn’t sure if it was a fire or a roofing project. It was discerned that it was roofers using a propane torch.

Someone on Trumble Creek Road in Kalispell called Flathead County Sheriff’s Department to report that a vehicle was parked in the middle of the road.

A man was spotted allegedly stealing a bag of food from a U.S. 2 East store in Kalispell.

Four Snowcats and a trailer were reported missing on Jellison Lane in Columbia Falls.

A woman allegedly caused a verbal disturbance on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse when someone told officers she was allegedly “talking crazy” and threatened to beat him or her up.

Someone on U.S. 93 North in Kalispell reported a black Ford Explorer was allegedly driving recklessly by cutting people off, driving into oncoming traffic and wasn’t using signals.

A landlord in Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls wanted police to pick up some pipes he or she allegedly found, one reportedly containing a drug of some sort that wasn’t marijuana.

Someone on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside reported a theft of money bag containing $3,300 in cash and credit card slips worth approximately $2,000 after a holiday party.

Jewelry was reported stolen on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A fight allegedly broke out between two men on Montana 35 in Kalispell. Six people reportedly tried to stop the fight. One man was spotted lying on the ground while the other hit him on the head.

Whitefish Police Department received a report that a woman on Hospital Way allegedly assaulted a nurse by shoving her.
