Two injured in Kalispell collision

Montana Highway Patrol responded to an accident at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday on Hidden Waters Lane in Kalispell that resulted in a two women with leg injuries. A van reportedly rear ended a pickup truck that was stopped on the side of the road after running out of gas, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Thoreson.

A manager on North Main Street reported to Kalispell Police Department that a person was allegedly living in a vehicle on the property and plugging an extension cord into the building.

A woman, reportedly holding a knife in her hand on North Main Street, was allegedly chasing a man through a parking lot. Police were cautioned that the woman had a history of assault and had a $600 bond for violation of a court order.

An employee on East Idaho Street told police that someone was running around naked.

A woman was reportedly outside burning clothing and asking for a torch on Bing Court.

A vehicle reportedly involved in an earlier disturbance returned to the scene on North Main Street and someone said he or she saw people get out and look around with flashlights “like they were looking for tossed drugs.”

A man on East Wyoming Street told police that his possibly intoxicated girlfriend allegedly punched him in the nose.

A man allegedly drove off without paying for $30 in gas on U.S. 93 North.

A bunch of mail was found on Fly Way and Stillwater Road. The mail reportedly contained Christmas cards and electric bills primarily from Farm View Lane and Stillwater Road.

A Woodland Drive resident’s suspicions were raised after she reported hearing dogs “barking like crazy.” Police found three small dogs barking at a deer.

Twinkling Christmas lights were the culprit of what someone on Seventh Street West and Eighth Avenue West thought was a small fire on someone’s porch.

A house was reportedly broken into on Second Street West. There were tracks to an open window and several items were reported missing.

Someone at a U.S. 93 South motel called 911 alleging that he was 9 years old and couldn’t find “his mommy.” Dispatchers thought the “boy” sounded like an adult man. The person allegedly hung up when they asked his name. Dispatchers called back to learn that no one was registered in the room where the call originated, but found out from employees that all children in the motel were OK.

Someone on Rising Sun Circle said a woman was allegedly high on methamphetamine and trying to get into a residence, however, the person calling in the report was allegedly difficult to understand because he or she was slurring and mumbling then began arguing with the woman and hung up on dispatchers.

A man on Heritage Way allegedly demanded that law enforcement take pictures of his hand after claiming it was injured when police brought him in for treatment. The injuries may have been due to the man’s disorderly behavior breaking windows from a previous night’s escapade, however, police did take photos to add to the man’s report.

A Hutton Ranch Road employee told officers that customers reportedly formed a circle in a parking lot wanting to fight other customers over a bullying incident. The scene was described as a “pushing match at best” by police who counseled the group and moved them along.

A woman on North Main Street was reported to have stolen batteries and tools on North Main Street.

A man allegedly threatened to “gut” another man while holding a pocket knife in his hand on East Idaho Street.

Someone on Eighth Avenue West said there was a woman allegedly in a closet who wouldn’t come out.

A woman on 12th Avenue West told Columbia Falls Police Department that a vehicle parked at the location had its tires slashed.

Two females each received a “Minor in Possession” citation during a traffic stop on Ninth Street West.

Whitefish Police Department received several call with concerns about possible future riots or protests happening in town.

Evergreen Fire Department responded to a chimney fire on Aspen Lane.
