Moonlit walk turns into ugly dispute

Kalispell Police responded to Third Avenue East where a caller had allegedly run into a drunken pedestrian who allegedly flipped the caller off and threatened to beat the caller into the “god---- ground.” The caller threatened to “drop” the drunkard if he approached, despite the fact that the caller did not have any weapons. The drunken person was given a ride home.

A man on Salem Street wanted advice about how to break up with his girlfriend and get her to leave. The man reported the woman was not at the residence at the time of the call.

A man was taken to jail after a woman reported that her drunken ex-boyfriend, who had her 2-year-old son with him, had allegedly slammed her head into a wall on Fifth Avenue West.

A man called from U.S. 93 to report that he had given a friend a ride, and now noticed several of his belongings missing. The man also reported that during the trip, the friend had allegedly stolen a gallon of eggnog from a gas station and a set of headphones from a retail store. The man said he had witnessed the thefts, but did not participate or do anything to stop the thievery.

A window was shot out of a vehicle on Third Avenue West. Nothing seemed to be missing from the vehicle.

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office responded to Whispering Pines in Bigfork, where someone reported that a crowbar had been used to break into a mailbox.

Packages were reported stolen from Stonefield Lane.

A home was burglarized on Gage Terrace.

A man was reported as maliciously running over parking cones on Big Mountain Road in an incident that unfolded throughout the day. A deputy was sent to take a report.

A woman called from Lake Blaine Road to report that her best friend had allegedly stolen $2,000 from her in a forgery case.

An ice auger was stolen from Conrad Drive.

A deputy was unable to locate a snow plow driver on Lion Mountain Road who allegedly chased a woman who was yelling at her to put her dog on a leash.

A home being sold through a government agency on Smith Lake Road was reported as having been burglarized. A wood stove and several other items were reported missing.

An 11-year-old child found walking along Spring Creek Road without a coat told a deputy that he was trying to find his mother after she had taken off on foot after a dispute at the home. The responding deputy did not find the mother along the road, but was able to get the child back to his father.

Whitefish Police took calls from Reuters News, Buzzfeed News, and KTFM about the neo-Nazi situation. A concerned citizen also reported getting harassing mail in reference to neo-Nazis.

Columbia Falls Police advised a diabetic about how he might properly dispose of needles.

A report of sexual activity between 4-year-olds was taken.
