Clarice Mae (Barnes) Beck, 88

Clarice Mae (Barnes) Beck, 88, “flew away to home” on Dec. 27, 2015, with her “angelic wings creating the wind for us.”

She was born Jan. 13, 1927, the daughter of Claude J. And Ella May (Kay) Barnes. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia.

She married Kenneth S. Beck Sr. on May 17, 1946. She was blessed with five children.

She especially enjoyed the many new friends, states, national parks and places her husband was transferred to in his Park Service career. Glacier National Park was her favorite spot.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 69 1/2 years, Kenneth S. Beck Sr.; her children, Kenneth Beck Jr. and wife Deborah, Bonnie K. Lancaster and husband John, Thomas H. Beck and wife Clarice, and Lorren J. Beck and fiancee Debra; as well as 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ella May Barnes; brothers, Claude J. Barnes Jr., and his wife Audrey, and James H. Barnes; and her son, William H. Beck.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
