Woman claims meth dealer tried to run her over

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded after a woman called from Anderson Lane to report that her husband had an argument in a car with a meth dealer who had a trunk full of drugs. The woman said she was afraid for her and her husband’s welfare after the meth dealer allegedly tried to run the woman over when she said she was calling police. The woman would not give police her location. An officer could not locate any of the parties involved.

Deputies were asked to patrol Beach Road in Bigfork after a man said that someone put stress on his door after a suspicious vehicle was spotted in the area. The man did not give more details about what “stress” meant. He did not ask an officer to respond to survey the damage.

A wheelchair bound woman on Texas Avenue called for help after a man allegedly stole her checks, ran outside a home and broke her door. An officer determined there had been a disturbance, but that it had been limited to a verbal dispute.

A couple were kicked out of a house in Columbia Falls after they spent the night there without the home owner’s permission. The couple was related to the homeowner, who had told the duo that they were not welcome.

A woman called to report that she had not noticed anything missing after a storage unit east of Kalispell, was burglarized in mid-December, but that it appeared the thief had gotten ahold of some old checks. The woman got a call from a pizza place claiming that she had written a bad check to pay for some food.

A house on Ashley Lake Road was broken into and several guns were stolen.

A landowner wanted 10-15 people invited by a renter to a residence on Valley Drive to be told to leave by a sheriff’s deputy. The homeowner claimed that the renter was being evicted and should not even be on the property. The renter complained about another renter on the property. The deputy told the renter he would be responsible if any of the unwanted guests damaged the property. Later a deputy had to return to the property and instruct the renters on how to text each other properly after both parties alleged that inappropriate, threatening texts had been sent.

A woman on Wettington Drive, outside of Kalispell, reported that a man had threatened to kill her.

A man was taken to jail from a residence on Flathead Drive after he allegedly broke into a home and threw his wife around the kitchen.

A woman in Martin City reported that her divorce was progressing worse than most after her soon-to-be-ex-husband slashed her tires with a 12-inch knife. Deputies put out an alert to try to find the man, who was flagged in the police database for having a history of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and escape. The man was not located.

A man on Forest Hill Road called to report that someone had knocked over his mailbox with a vehicle for an eighth time in the past few weeks. The man had an idea of how to catch the culprits, but wanted to run it by law enforcement.

A school in Lakeside was broken into and a snowblower was taken.


Whitefish Police took a report after a woman claimed that her boyfriend hit her and pushed her out of a moving vehicle. Dispatchers contacted the man, who said that he was headed to work. He gave a description of where he would be before he hung up on dispatchers. The woman refused medical attention, but said that the man did not have a license to drive the truck that he had been using.

A coin machine was reported as damaged at a car wash. The owner had video footage of the suspected culprits.


Columbia Falls Police took a report from someone who claimed that her car was side swiped by an unknown suspect on Ninth Street West.


Kalispell Police told a woman on Fourth Avenue West that she should probably keep her cats inside after she reported that there was a stray cat hanging around that she suspected of having feline immunodeficiency virus. The disease is similar to HIV in humans. The woman was worried about the welfare of her kitties. An officer suggested trapping the feline.

A woman on First Avenue West reported that her ex-boyfriend and his mother were trying to kick her door in. An officer advised the man that he should come back the next day with an officer to retrieve his belongings.

A man on 11th Avenue West was told to stop texting a woman or he would be in violation of a no-contact order. The woman was told to block his number.

A woman on Second Avenue West North found one of her tires in a nearby alley after thieves allegedly tried to take her wheels or rims. The woman suspected that it may have been too cold or the tires might have been too heavy for the thief to complete the crime. Officers put the incident on a list for increased patrol.

 An officer counseled someone on 12th Avenue West after a neighbor complained that he or she was spray painting close to other residents’ vehicles.
