Herbert H. Clark, 86

| January 10, 2016 8:16 PM

Herb Clark was born Jan. 11, 1929, in the West Kootenai area near Rexford.

He passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Jan. 7, 2016.

Herb married Marie Lundberg on April 5, 1970, and together they raised five children — Rick, Sandi, DeAnn, Bryan and Perry.

Herb lived the majority of his life in the Eureka/Trego area, and loved the outdoors and all it had to offer — snowmobiling, four-wheeling, hunting, fishing, hiking and simply being outside were Herb’s favorite things. In 1997, he was awarded Montana Snowmobiler of the Year in recognition of his time spent volunteering with the Ten Lakes Snowmobile Club, including countless hours devoted to grooming trails. Herb also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Herb worked in the construction industry and was known by many throughout the industry as an excellent loader operator, a job which he continued to work at until he was in his 80s. He was a man always full of energy and it was impossible to keep him still. He was liked and respected by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marie; their children, Rick Clark and Suzanne of Browns Valley, California, Sandi Clark and Rick Smith of Sacramento, California, DeAnn Wheaton and Donny of Jaffray, British Columbia, Bryan Lundberg and Julie of Trego, and Perry Lundberg of San Jose, California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

At Herb’s request, there will be a memorial service for family and close friends at a later date.
