Irene Boots, 83

| January 15, 2016 6:00 AM

Irene Boots, 83, passed away on Jan. 12, 2016, at the Springs at Whitefish.

Irene was born on May 20, 1932, in Liberty, Kentucky, to John Bill Cox and Bessie (Hatfield) Cox. Irene is an original Hatfield descendant of the historical Hatfield and McCoys.

Irene married the love of her life, Ralph Boots, on Aug. 14, 1968, in Brownsville, Tennessee. They celebrated 43 wedding anniversaries together on this earth.

Irene was very young at heart and she was an “ear and sounding board” for a lot of the staff at The Springs. She especially had a close connection with lots of the younger staff. It was the perfect situation for all involved.

Irene loved all of her children, grandchildren and those special great-grandchildren, but she did have a very close bond with her granddaughter and “namesake” Cory Irene Dulin. Irene may be gone but her genuine love of others will definitely live on in Cory Irene.

Irene was preceded by her husband Ralph Boots, mother and father John Bill and Bessie Cox, along with her son Edward, and daughter Dianne.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Lynda Saibini, and son-in-law, Al Saibini, from Stafford, Virginia; along with grandchildren, Joshua Saibini and Rachel Dozier, and great-granddaughters Kayla and Isabelle Dozier. She is also survived by her daughter, Cathy Dulin, and son-in-law, Greg Dulin, from Kalispell; along with grandchildren, Holly Trumbo, Cory Dulin and Drake Dulin, and great-grandson Jude Ellis Trumbo.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Springs of Whitefish for their dedication and care of Irene especially during the last four years, also Home Options Hospice for their loving care of Irene during her final days. Last, but definitely not least, Dr. Jon Miller for his love and devotion to the Boots family for the last several years.

Services for Irene will be at 5:30 p.m. today, Jan. 15, at Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish. There will be a visitation from 2 to 5:30 p.m. today prior to the services.

Austin Funeral Home is caring for the Boots family.
